Knight of the Royal House Order of Hohenzollern - with Swords

This award was originally created in 1841 to reward outstanding merit, with the version with swords awarded to military Officer’s during WWI. It ranked above the Iron Cross, and was considered an intermediate award between the Iron Cross 1st Class, and the Pour Le Merite.

This example of the Knights grade with swords is die struck and finished in enamel and gold plate. It is also supplied complete with a length of the correct ribbon.
