Kriegsmarine U-Boat Badge with Diamonds

Introduced in 1941, the Kriegsmarine U Boat badge with Diamonds was most commonly awarded to U-Boat commanders demonstrating the highest performance. Only around 30 were ever awarded, with the badge worn on the left breast of the tunic.

The badges feature a U-Boat beneath the Eagle and imitation diamond decorated Swastika, surrounded by a wreath. They have the correct vertical pin on the reverse as well as the 'Schwerin - Berlin 68' maker's mark.
