Inaugurated in January 1941 by Reichsmarschall Herman Goring, these clasps were awarded to aircrews who flew missions related to ground support for troops.
The badge itself depicts oakleaf wings coming out of a laurel wreath, with crossed swords at the centre. This particular version is Bronze and indicates a minimum of 20 missions flown.
