WW2 Helferin Signals Trade Pin Badge

An excellent quality reproduction of the badge to be worn by members of Helferinnen Signals Auxiliary, commonly known as the Blitzmädchen, or 'Lightning Girls'.

They were largely volunteer women who would be radio operators, typists, aircraft monitoring and others jobs during the war, filling the roles of men who were on the front. 

The badge itslef is tough metal with enamel inlay for the design, and measures approx. 3cm across.
