Volkswagen Commemorative Badge May 1938 - Silver

These Volkswagen badges in silver were introduced in May 1938 to commemorate the laying of the ground stone for the Volkswagen factory. They feature the text 'Grundsteinlegung des Volkswagenwerkes Mai 1938', with the maker’s logo and ‘GES.GESCH’ on the reverse alongside a brooch fixing.

These die-struck metal badges are finished in an antiqued silver plating and measure 40mm x 30mm.
