Order of the German Eagle 1st Class with Swords

The Order of the German Eagle was one of the highest political awards of the Nazi Party. It was introduced by Hitler himself, and was awarded predominantly to foreign diplomats.

This 1st Class version, worn as a neck cross, was issued between 1939 and 1943 and was actually the third highest class, below the 6 and 8 pointed star versions. The addition of swords denote a military recipient.

These awards are made from a zinc alloy, and features a suspension loop and 12 inches of the correct red ribbon.
