Order of the German Eagle with Star & Swords

The Order of the German Eagle was one of the highest political awards of the Nazi Party. It was introduced by Hitler himself, and was awarded predominantly to foreign diplomats.

This version with a silver, six-sided star was issued between 1939 and 1943 as the second highest class, with the addition of swords denoting a military recipient. The award would have been worn alongside the 1st Class version.

These awards are made from a zinc alloy, and feature a vertical pin on the reverse.
