Royal New Zealand Air Force Pilot Wings

These New Zealand Air Force Pilot Wings are made in the WW2 style. It was formed from New Zealand elements of the British Royal Air Force, becoming an independent force in 1923, although many RNZAF aircrew continued to serve in the Royal Air Force until the end of the 1940s.

The embroidered patches feature the crowned 'NZ' lettering at the centre of a brown wreath, flanked by the wings themselves with a dark blue background.
