German Social Welfare Decoration - 3rd Class

These medals were introduced to reward outstanding commitment to the field of social welfare. The award was presented in 3 classes, although a diamond class award was awarded once, to the wife of the Prime Minister of Romania during WW2. This is the 3rd Class variant of the award.

The medal features the eagle at the centre of a cross made from a zinc alloy, and is supplied with a length of the correct red and white ribbon.
